MiA ViA - Reinventing the choices for homebirth
The MiA Via birth pool is the first inflatable birth pool with a large, comfortable purpose-built seat.
Designed by women for women.
With many years experience in the birth industry; and following countless conversations with thousands of mums, midwives, Doulas and other birth workers, it was apparent to us that the inflatable birth pools on offer did not meet the needs and wants of birthing mums today. Hence the reinvention of the inflatable birth pool - and the MiA ViA was born.
Since July 2020 when we took delivery of our first batch of pools, MiA ViA has been used in over 4,000 births - including Ella Mills of 'Deliciously Ella', the comedian Katherine Ryan and Emma Armstrong (AKA The Naked Doula). The MiA ViA is also the only birth pool to be offered as part of the NHS Framework Agreement.
We have made a conscious decision to only hire the MiAViA or sell to healthcare professionals who will hire / lend the pool out. This makes the MiAViA more eco-friendly than simply selling the pools as it means maximum usage from each pool.
The fabric the pool is made from is also as eco-friendly as we can make it.
Once the pools have reached the end of their life they will be recycled by us.

Slimmer Walls
MiA ViA uses new technology in its manufacture, making the walls of the pool less thick and chunky when compared with other inflatable birth pools - meaning better use of space.
Height Adjustable
MiA ViA is height adjustable - simply deflate the bottom ring if required.
Comfortable Handles
MiA ViA has four perfectly positioned comfortable handles - ideal for position changes, supported squatting and assisting with pushing
Silver Colour
Up until now birth pools have been blue-toned in colour - a very cold, masculine colour.
MiA ViA has broken this mould. The silver colour represents feminine energy, strength and focus. It is a calming, restorative and healing colour helping women ‘get in the zone’
